The Comeback Tour - One Night Only - St Mary's Harborne
It rather seems a long while ago now but our comeback tour has ended - as we predicted - after one night!! But, what a night. We rolled the clock back 20 years (yes - it's over 20 years since we started the Princes Corner club) as we welcomed faces that we haven't seen in...well, 20 years! They haven't changed that much either! The evening's purpose of course was to raise money to help the London Marathon run of Clare, Barney and team Barnard. They did fantastically well in the run with Clare finishing in about 5 and a half hours. Over £1000 was raised on the evening thanks to the generosity of our audience and the folks who donated the raffle prizes.
Andrew was fantastic playing his Elton John numbers and thanks to him for giving his services. As for us... well, it was special to see colleagues, family and friends all in one spot re-living some of the memories from another age. Thanks to all the iniebriated people who said nothing had changed although it was a bit difficult to concentrate on playing with all those friends to chat with. I haven't seen any bootleg T-shirts on Ebay yet and I haven't had a report back from Chris as to whether he enjoyed his visit to Dudley Zoo!
